Khatam Tarabi Namaz at the historic Shaitgumbad Mosque

One of the practices of the month of Ramadan is performing the Tarabi prayer by reading the Qur'an. In continuation of which, Khatam Tarabi prayers have been going on for many years in the historic Shaitgumbad Mosque. However, it is difficult to say exactly how many years Khatam Tarabi prayers have been started in the historic Shaitgumbad Mosque.But as far as is known, the former Deputy Commissioner of Bagerhat, Mr. Md. Mortuza Hossain Munsi (09-05-1988 AD to 08-01-1991 AD) started the Khatam Tarabi Namaz at the historic Shaitgumbad Mosque. And from then till now, Khatam Tarabi Namaz has been going on continuously in the historical Shaitgumbad Mosque. However, many of the teachers say that the final Tarabih prayer has been performed before this.
The Islamic Foundation has determined the prescribed portion of the Quran for the daily Tarabi prayers across Bangladesh. So that anyone who wants to perform Tarabi prayers in any mosque in the country will not be deprived of listening to the complete recitation of the Qur'an. Perform Tarabi prayers by reciting the full Quran in 27 days of Ramadan. As per rules in Tarabi, the first six days are recited in one and a half verses. 9 passes in six days. And the remaining 21 days will be taught one by one.
